The SOUTHWARK METAL 121SC14 is a 14-inch snap lock duct pipe used in forced-air HVAC distribution systems. Snap lock pipe is fabricated with a pre-formed longitudinal seam that locks together by hand without additional fasteners, speeding up trunk-and-branch or radial duct installations. HVAC installers and sheet metal contractors rely on this type of fitting for straight duct runs in both new construction and retrofit applications. The 14-inch diameter is a common size for main supply trunk extensions and large branch runs in residential and light commercial systems.
This snap lock pipe is suited for supply and return air ductwork in forced-air heating and cooling systems. The 14-inch diameter accommodates higher-volume airflow paths typical of residential systems with larger tonnage equipment or commercial light-duty air handlers. It is installed in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and mechanical rooms where straight duct runs are required between the air handler and supply boots or takeoffs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit component for 14-inch round duct systems using snap lock pipe fittings and collars in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC applications.
Snap lock duct pipe is installed by sheet metal contractors or licensed HVAC technicians. Power down the air handling equipment before connecting or modifying any duct section. Joints should be secured with sheet metal screws and sealed with UL 181-listed duct mastic or foil tape per local mechanical code requirements. Support spacing and hanging methods should comply with SMACNA duct construction standards.
