The SOLER PALAU STXD06JH1AS is a direct drive upblast centrifugal exhauster designed for continuous removal of dirty, contaminated, or high-temperature air in commercial and industrial settings. The unit is rated at 308 CFM at zero static pressure and operates at 1,650 RPM on a 115-volt single-speed open drip-proof motor. The 6-inch diameter fan wheel is backward-inclined and curved, constructed from aluminum for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. Dynamic balancing at the factory delivers smooth, low-vibration operation over the life of the unit. Licensed HVAC and mechanical contractors install this type of equipment under applicable mechanical codes.
The STXD06JH1AS suits general commercial ventilation applications including kitchen makeup air, fume hood exhaust, smoke removal, and chemical process exhaust. Note that sizes 6 through 8 in the STXD line are not rated for restaurant (Type I or Type II hood) applications. The unit supports ducted or non-ducted configurations and can be installed vertically through a roof curb or horizontally through a sidewall, allowing placement close to the exhaust source for shorter duct runs. The motor cover uses quick-release latches for straightforward on-site motor access during maintenance.
For roof installations, the STXD series is a recognized replacement for Greenheck CUE, Loren Cook ACRUD, Pennbarry FX, Carnes VUDK, Acme PDURF/PDURG, and Fantech 5DDU models. For sidewall installations, the STXD series can replace Greenheck CW, Loren Cook ACWD, Pennbarry WFX, Carnes VWBK, and Acme PDU-WL models. This unit is NOT suitable for restaurant exhaust applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local and national mechanical codes. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the motor or any internal components. For roof-mounted installations, verify that the roof curb opening matches the required 13.5-inch dimension before mounting. Do not use this unit in restaurant hood applications where grease-laden vapors require a UL 762-rated power ventilator.
