The SOLER PALAU SDB15PH1S is a downblast belt drive centrifugal roof exhauster designed for continuous-duty commercial ventilation. It moves up to 2560 CFM at zero static pressure using a 15-inch backward inclined wheel driven by a 1/3 HP open drip-proof motor running at 1100 RPM. The belt drive configuration keeps operating RPMs lower than direct drive alternatives, which reduces sound output to 11.7 sones at 1/4-inch static pressure. The unit handles up to 3/4-inch static pressure and works in both ducted and non-ducted installations. Heavy-duty construction and a single-speed motor rated for continuous use make this exhauster appropriate for sustained commercial service. Certified AMCA Air and Sound Licensed and UL 705 Listed.
The SDB15PH1S is suited for removing relatively clean air from commercial facilities including offices, retail spaces, light manufacturing, and similar applications. Roof mounting positions the unit close to the ventilated area, which allows for shorter duct runs and more efficient system operation. The unit fits a 19.5-inch roof opening. The housing includes a birdscreen, stainless steel exterior fasteners, and a disconnect switch. The cover removes easily for access to the motor during routine maintenance. A factory-installed automatic belt tensioner (model 100070) is available as an option ordered at the time of purchase, reducing the risk of over-tensioning drive components.
The SDB15PH1S is designed as a replacement-compatible unit for Greenheck GB, Loren Cook ACEB, Pennbarry DX, Carnes VEBX, Acme PRN, and Fantech 5BDD model belt drive downblast exhausters.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC or sheet metal contractor in accordance with local mechanical codes and the International Mechanical Code. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the motor, belt, or drive components. The unit mounts to a roof curb sized for a 19.5-inch roof opening — verify curb dimensions before ordering. Do not operate the unit without the birdscreen and housing cover properly secured.
