The SNAPPY t10-8 is an 8-inch galvanized adjustable takeoff fitting used in sheet metal ductwork systems for residential and light commercial HVAC installations. It mounts to a main trunk duct and allows a branch run to tap off at an adjustable angle, accommodating the 1-inch rise built into the fitting geometry. The galvanized steel construction resists corrosion in typical supply and return air applications. HVAC sheet metal installers and mechanical contractors use this fitting during rough-in to distribute conditioned air from the trunk line to branch ducts serving individual zones or rooms.
This fitting is suited for new construction and retrofit ductwork installations where a branch duct must be taken off a rectangular or round trunk. The 1-inch rise profile helps transition the branch run cleanly off the trunk without reducing airflow or requiring field fabrication. The adjustable design allows the installer to set the takeoff angle to match the layout of the duct run before locking it in place.
Designed as an OEM-style sheet metal component for use with standard residential and light commercial forced-air duct systems accepting 8-inch takeoff fittings.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or sheet metal mechanics. Power down the air handling unit before cutting into the trunk duct and installing the fitting. Secure the takeoff with sheet metal screws and seal all joints with UL 181-rated mastic or foil tape in accordance with local mechanical codes. Verify the branch duct is fully supported before restoring system operation.
