The SMEAD SMD19033 is a heavy-duty classification folder built for high-volume document organization in office filing systems. Constructed from 25 pt pressboard stock, it delivers the rigidity needed to hold and protect large document sets over repeated use. The folder includes two dividers made from 17 pt stock and features a 2 inch expansion to accommodate thick file sets. Patent-pending SafeShield coated twin-prong fasteners are positioned on the front and back panels at positions 1 and 3, preventing paper tears, finger cuts, and fastener crinkling during everyday use. This folder is sold in a box of 10.
The SMD19033 is suited for legal, administrative, medical, and corporate office environments where multi-part document sets require organized separation within a single folder. The 2/5 cut tab on the folder and 3/8 inch high, 1/3 cut tabs on the dividers allow for clear, readable labeling in standard filing cabinets and lateral files. It is typically installed and maintained by administrative professionals, records managers, and office services staff handling active or archival document workflows.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit for letter-size classification filing systems using twin-prong fastener folders in conventional filing cabinet drawers.
No tools are required to set up classification folders. Insert documents under the fastener prongs and fold the prong tips flat to secure pages against the panel. Ensure dividers are seated fully before loading documents to prevent misalignment. Do not overfill beyond the 2 inch expansion rating, as this can stress the pressboard panels and fastener anchors over time.
