The SMEAD SMD13733 is a heavy-duty classification folder designed for high-volume, organized document filing in office and records management environments. Built from 25 point pressboard stock with a 1 inch divider of 17 point stock, this folder provides the structural rigidity needed for thick file loads. It features a 2 inch expansion capacity and SafeShield coated fasteners on the front and back panels at positions 1 and 3. The SafeShield coating helps prevent paper tears, finger cuts, and fastener crinkling during routine filing. A twin-prong fastener on the divider adds a third fastening surface within a single folder unit. Sold in a box of 10.
This classification folder is suited for legal, medical, administrative, and records management applications where multi-section filing within a single folder is required. The 1 divider creates two separate interior sections, keeping related documents organized and grouped without requiring multiple folders. Each unit is finished in green for color-coded filing systems. Office administrators, paralegals, medical records staff, and file room clerks are the primary installers and users of this product.
Designed as a standard-size classification folder compatible with letter-size documents and conventional filing cabinets and storage systems.
No tools are required to set up or load this classification folder. Load documents into each section before fastening to avoid misalignment of the fastener prongs. When inserting fasteners through paper stacks, apply even pressure to reduce the risk of tearing. Store loaded folders vertically in a filing cabinet drawer to maintain expansion shape and prevent folder distortion over time.
