The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2U11-35AS is a push-to-connect Y-connector tube fitting designed for pneumatic tubing systems that require a three-way branch connection. Built with a brass body and polybutylene components, this fitting accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing and connects to 1/4-inch NPT threaded ports. It handles a maximum working pressure of 145 psi and operates across a temperature range of 23 degrees F to 140 degrees F. Installation requires no tools for the tube connection - tubing seats and locks by simply pushing it into the fitting collet. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance techs are the typical installers.
This Y-connector fitting is suited for compressed air, pneumatic control lines, and low-pressure fluid distribution in both light industrial and commercial mechanical systems. The three-way configuration allows a single supply line to split into two branch lines, making it useful in manifold-style pneumatic circuits, instrument air networks, and zone control tubing runs. Its compact overall length of approximately 1.91 inches (48.60 mm) allows installation in confined equipment enclosures and control panels where space is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic tubing systems using 3/8-inch OD tubing and 1/4-inch NPT threaded connections in compressed air and low-pressure fluid applications.
Depressurize and isolate the pneumatic circuit fully before removing or installing any push-to-connect fittings. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely - angled or burred cuts will compromise the collet seal and cause leaks. Verify that the NPT threads are wrapped with thread sealant tape and torqued appropriately per local plumbing or mechanical codes before pressurizing the system. To release tubing, depress the collet ring while pulling the tube straight out.
