The SLANT-FIN 101-401-050 is a slim-profile hot water baseboard heater designed for residential hydronic heating systems. The unit spans 5 feet in length and delivers a heating capacity ranging from 160 to 840 BTU/h at 1 GPM and up to 890 BTU/h at 4 GPM, making it suitable for a range of room sizes and load conditions. The enclosure is constructed from cold-rolled rephosphorized heavy-gauge galvanized steel with a Nu-White baked enamel finish for long-term durability. A copper element with aluminum fins transfers heat efficiently to the surrounding air. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the typical trade professionals who specify and install this unit.
This baseboard heater is suited for residential applications including single-family homes, apartments, and renovation projects. It is designed to operate with water temperatures between 110 and 220 degrees F at flow rates of 1 or 4 GPM. The 1-3/4-inch floor-to-front cover opening promotes natural air circulation for effective convection heating. A fully modulating, pivot-mounted damper allows individual room temperature control. The unit ships fully assembled and includes a 2-inch splice plate for connection to adjacent sections. Extendable accessories allow wall-to-wall installation without cutting for a clean finished appearance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for residential hot water hydronic baseboard heating systems with 3/4-inch element connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic heating technician in accordance with applicable local mechanical codes. Shut off and drain the hydronic system before connecting or disconnecting any element. Verify that system operating pressure and temperature are within the rated limits of this unit before startup. Do not modify the enclosure or element in a way that restricts the floor-to-front airflow opening, as this will reduce convection performance.
