The SK 16107 is a 7-inch cable cutter designed for cutting wire and cable in electrical, HVAC, and general trade applications. Built with forged and heat-treated construction, the 16107 delivers consistent cutting performance through copper wire, aluminum wire, and similar conductors. Knife-to-knife cutting edges provide clean, precise cuts without crushing or deforming the conductor. A non-slip grip handle reduces hand fatigue during repetitive cuts. At 0.52 pounds, the tool is lightweight enough for extended overhead or confined-space work. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers keep this style of cutter in regular rotation for panel work, rough-in, and service calls.
The SK 16107 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical and mechanical trade work. It handles wire cutting tasks at breaker panels, junction boxes, conduit runs, and equipment rough-in locations. The compact 7-inch overall length makes it practical in tight spaces such as electrical enclosures and equipment cabinets where full-size cable cutters are difficult to maneuver.
Designed as a general-purpose hand tool for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing trade applications involving wire and cable cutting tasks.
Always de-energize and lockout/tagout circuits before cutting any wire or cable per NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements. Inspect cutting edges before use and replace the tool if edges are chipped or misaligned, as damaged edges can crush rather than cleanly cut conductors. This tool is a hand-operated cutter and should not be used with power or impact drivers.
