The unit uses a solvent-weld Schedule 40 hub/socket connection for 2-inch piping and includes a stamped 430 stainless steel round strainer whose fingers grip slots to prevent slipping. The strainer is heel-proof, offers 3.25 square inches of free area, and meets ASTM D2661 standards.
