The SIOUX CHIEF 641WP332 is a polypropylene push-fit tee fitting designed for use with F1960 PEX-A tubing. It connects two 3/4-inch runs to a 1/2-inch branch, making it a practical choice for splitting or branching domestic water distribution lines. The fitting follows ASTM F1960 expansion-style connection requirements, which rely on the memory properties of PEX-A tubing. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during new rough-in work and remodel projects where PEX-A systems are specified.
This tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems that use PEX-A tubing throughout supply distribution. Common applications include branch connections at manifolds, under-sink supply drops, and in-wall rough-in runs where a line size reduction from 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch is required at the branch. The F1960 expansion method requires the use of an expansion tool and matching expansion rings before the fitting is inserted into the tubing.
Designed for use with F1960 PEX-A tubing systems requiring a 3/4-inch by 3/4-inch by 1/2-inch tee connection.
Installation requires an ASTM F1960-compliant PEX expansion tool and the correct size expansion rings for each connection point. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing run. This fitting is intended for installation by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and applicable IPC or UPC requirements. Do not substitute F1960 expansion rings with crimp or clamp rings, as the connection methods are not interchangeable.
