The SIOUX CHIEF MFG CO. 600-206PK is a copper full slip sweat repair coupling designed for making reliable solder joints on damaged or cut copper pipe sections. Measuring 0.5 inches in nominal diameter by 6 inches in length, with a 0.625-inch outer diameter, this coupling slips fully over existing pipe ends without stopping shoulders, allowing it to slide into position over a damaged section for a clean repair. It is sold in a pack of 10 units. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe mechanics use this fitting in both residential and light commercial water supply and distribution systems.
This coupling is suited for repairs on exposed or accessible copper water lines where a section of pipe must be cut out and replaced. The full-slip design eliminates the need to cut the pipe to an exact length before fitting, making it well-suited for tight or confined repair scenarios. It is appropriate for use on cold and hot water supply lines in residential homes, apartment buildings, and light commercial construction wherever copper sweat connections are standard practice.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and repair fitting for standard 0.5-inch nominal copper water supply and distribution piping using sweat (solder) connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting out the damaged pipe section. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before applying heat, and use lead-free solder where required by code. Do not apply torch heat to any fitting while pressure or moisture remains in the line.
