The SIOUX CHIEF 520-19 is a two-piece adjustable galvanized steel support bracket designed to secure pipe, conduit, or mechanical runs between framing members. It slides to span openings from 12 to 19 inches, making it well suited for rough-in work where stud or joist spacing varies. The self-nailing design allows fast, one-handed fastening directly to framing without a separate fastener step. Galvanized construction resists corrosion in both interior and crawlspace applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors use this bracket during new construction and renovation rough-in to achieve clean, code-compliant support runs.
This bracket is intended for residential and light commercial construction where pipe or mechanical runs must be supported between wood framing members. The adjustable slider mechanism accommodates standard 16-inch on-center framing as well as non-standard spacing up to 19 inches, reducing the need to stock multiple fixed-width brackets. It is commonly installed during plumbing rough-in, hydronic piping runs, and conduit support work in floor, ceiling, and wall assemblies.
Designed as a general-purpose adjustable support bracket for pipe and conduit runs in wood-framed residential and light commercial construction with framing spacing from 12 to 19 inches.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors during the rough-in phase. Adjust the bracket to the required span before driving the self-nailing ends into framing with a hammer. Ensure the bracket is seated level and fully driven before loading with pipe or conduit. Follow local plumbing and mechanical codes for maximum support spacing requirements.
