The SIOUX CHIEF 490-11240 is a white plastic closet bolt cover cap used to conceal toilet hold-down bolts at the base of a toilet installation. These caps snap or press over the exposed closet bolts and nuts that secure a toilet to the floor flange, providing a clean, finished appearance once the toilet is set. Plumbers and plumbing installers fit these caps as the final step in a toilet rough-in, covering hardware that would otherwise remain visible at the toilet base. The white finish blends with standard white porcelain fixtures for a neat, professional result.
This cover cap is suited for residential and light commercial toilet installations. It is used wherever closet bolts are exposed after a toilet is set on a wax ring and the nuts are tightened down.
