The SIOUX CHIEF 131-g2s1ce504 is a quarter-turn forged straight stop valve designed for residential and light commercial plumbing supply shutoff applications. Built from forged construction and finished in chrome plating, this stop valve operates with a simple 90-degree handle rotation to fully open or close water flow. The large conventional handle provides positive, reliable actuation without additional tools. Certified to ASME A112.18.1, CSA B125.1, NSF/ANSI 14, NSF/ANSI/CAN 372, and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, it meets current lead-free and drinking water safety standards required in most jurisdictions.
Straight stop valves of this type are installed on supply lines serving sinks, lavatories, toilets, and similar fixtures in residential and commercial plumbing systems. The straight configuration routes water directly through the valve body without directional change, making it the correct choice when the supply stub-out and fixture supply line are in-line with each other. Licensed plumbers and journeyman-level pipefitters are the primary installers in new construction, renovation, and service-replacement scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation straight stop valve for residential and light commercial potable water supply systems requiring a quarter-turn shutoff at the fixture supply connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local amendments. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing stop valve or making new connections. Inspect supply tubing and fitting threads for damage before completing the connection. Do not over-tighten fittings, as forged brass valves can crack at the body if excess torque is applied to the inlet threads.
