The SIMPSON ELECTRIC 12211 is an analog manual ranging multimeter designed for measuring voltage, current, and resistance in electrical systems. It handles up to 1000 volts AC and 1000 volts DC, up to 5 amps DC, and resistance up to 200 ohms. The meter includes a resettable overload circuit protection relay, two extra low power ohms ranges (R x 1 and R x 10), and an instant trend info function that lets technicians read circuit behavior at a glance. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades professionals use this instrument for diagnostics, commissioning, and maintenance work on low- and line-voltage circuits.
The 12211 suits residential and light commercial electrical service work, panel diagnostics, motor circuit checks, and general low-voltage troubleshooting. It ships with an AC amp-clamp adapter, alligator clips, batteries, and probe test leads, making it field-ready out of the box. The included accessories extend its usefulness to current measurements and hands-free probing in confined spaces. This meter is well suited for service technicians who prefer the continuous needle sweep of an analog display for trending and transient detection over a digital readout.
Designed as an OEM-style analog multimeter for general electrical measurement applications across residential and commercial trade use.
This meter is intended for use by qualified electricians, HVAC technicians, and other licensed trades professionals familiar with safe electrical test procedures. Always de-energize circuits when connecting or disconnecting test leads where permitted by the task, and follow applicable NFPA 70E safe work practices for energized electrical work. Verify the meter range setting before making contact with a live circuit. Do not exceed the rated voltage or current limits marked on the instrument.
