The SIMPLIFIRE SF-BI30-EB is a 30-inch built-in electric fireplace designed for flush installation into a framed wall cavity or an existing masonry fireplace opening. It operates on either 120V or 240V power, delivering up to 4,800 BTU/h at 120V or 10,000 BTU/h at 240V via a hardwired connection. The unit features LED flame technology with four adjustable flame intensity settings, eliminating bulb replacement over the service life of the appliance. A detailed masonry-style interior and textured log set provide a traditional aesthetic. A blower is included to distribute heat output. Licensed electricians and qualified fireplace installers are the primary trades for this product.
The SF-BI30-EB suits residential applications where a traditional fireplace look is desired without a gas or wood-burning system. It can be recessed into new-construction framed walls, retrofitted into an existing masonry firebox, or installed in a corner with additional framing. A 120V power supply cord is included for plug-in use. The unit can also be hardwired to a 120V or 240V dedicated circuit. Front-facing framing requires 31.75 inches wide by 11.625 inches deep, with a framing height of 27.25 inches at 120V or 29.25 inches at 240V. The clear viewing area measures 28.25 inches wide by 22.75 inches tall. An optional black front trim kit, model SF-EF30-BK, is available separately to create a 2-inch overhang for finished drywall transitions.
Designed for built-in installation into a framed wall cavity or an existing masonry fireplace. Compatible with optional front trim kit SF-EF30-BK, sold separately, which adds a 2-inch overhang to finish drywall transitions. Pre-construction or sub-floor installations require additional framing height to accommodate finished flooring thickness. See manufacturer installation instructions for corner-installation framing dimensions.
This appliance should be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. Disconnect power at the breaker before any wiring work. When hardwired to a 240V supply, a minimum clearance of 2 inches above the top of the firebox is required. This appliance is not intended to serve as a primary heat source and should not be factored into residential heating load calculations.
