The sd505heat is suited for commercial and light industrial installations where thermal detection is the preferred life safety method. Typical applications include boiler rooms, kitchens, parking structures, and other spaces with ambient airborne contaminants that could cause nuisance alarms on a smoke detector. Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. Power down or place the fire alarm control panel in test mode before connecting or disconnecting any addressable device on the loop. Standard low-voltage hand tools are sufficient for mounting and wiring. Verify the assigned address on the device matches the panel programming before restoring the system to normal operation.
