The SIKA 515311 is a ready-to-use, commercial-grade polyurethane construction sealant supplied in a 10.1 oz cartridge. It is formulated for sealing cracks, construction joints, doors, windows, siding, roofing, gutters, sills, thresholds, basements, vents, skylights, wall penetrations, and precast panels. The sealant cures to a permanently elastic, tough, and flexible consistency that resists cutting, tearing, aging, and weathering. It will not harden or shrink after cure. A single 10.1 oz cartridge yields approximately 24 linear feet at a 1/4 inch bead width. Contractors and building professionals across construction and restoration trades rely on this sealant for demanding interior and exterior applications.
This sealant is suited for both residential and commercial construction projects. It bonds to most common building materials including concrete, wood, brick, aluminum, steel, glass, tile, marble, stone, and etched PVC. Typical install scenarios include sealing penetrations in above-grade and below-grade assemblies, flashing details at windows and doors, roofing transitions, and precast concrete panel joints. It also seals out radon gas, making it appropriate for basement and foundation applications where soil-gas intrusion is a concern. After full cure, the sealant is paintable, sandable, and stainable.
Designed for use on most common building substrates including concrete, wood, brick, aluminum, steel, glass, tile, marble, stone, and etched PVC in residential and commercial construction assemblies.
This sealant is applied by licensed contractors, general tradespeople, or qualified applicators using a standard caulk gun. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of loose material before application. Fresh sealant can be cleaned up immediately with water or approved solvents; cured sealant requires paint thinner or another approved solvent for removal. Follow all applicable building codes and manufacturer surface-preparation guidelines for the specific substrate.
