The SIKA 515302 is a one-component, self-leveling polyurethane sealant formulated for sealing horizontal expansion joints in concrete, masonry, and cementitious surfaces. It fast-cures to a permanently elastic, flexible consistency that resists cutting, tearing, aging, and weathering. The 515302 bonds to most common construction materials without a primer, including green and damp concrete, making it suitable for use in a wide range of horizontal joint applications. Each 29 oz cartridge yields approximately 70 linear feet at a 1/4-inch bead. It meets Federal specification TT-S-00230C, Type 1, Class A, and ASTM C-920, Type S, Grade P, Class 25.
The 515302 is designed for horizontal expansion joint sealing in both light commercial and civil construction environments. Typical applications include driveways, garages, sidewalks, balconies, pavements, terraces, warehouses, factories, plazas, and civil structures. Its self-leveling flow allows it to settle uniformly into joints without tooling, which reduces labor time on flat and near-flat surfaces. The sealant is appropriate for new construction as well as repair work on existing slabs where joint movement and weather exposure are primary concerns.
Designed for use on horizontal expansion joints in concrete, masonry, and cementitious substrates including driveways, garages, sidewalks, balconies, pavements, terraces, warehouses, factories, plazas, and civil structures.
Installation should be performed by experienced masonry, concrete, or general construction tradespeople familiar with expansion joint sealing procedures. Ensure the joint is clean, dry or only damp (not standing water beyond what is permitted for green concrete applications), and free of loose material before application. Joint depth must not exceed 1/2 inch; install a foam backer rod to control depth on deeper joints. Clean up fresh sealant immediately; cured sealant requires paint thinner or an approved solvent for removal.
