The SIKA 515282 is a one-component, self-leveling polyurethane sealant formulated for sealing horizontal expansion joints in concrete, masonry, and cementitious slabs. The 29 oz cartridge yields 70 linear feet at a 1/4-inch bead, making it a practical choice for larger joint sealing jobs. It cures fast to a permanently elastic, tough, and flexible consistency with exceptional resistance to cutting, tearing, aging, and weathering. Excellent adhesion to most construction materials eliminates the need for a primer in most applications. Licensed contractors and commercial applicators handling flatwork joint sealing are the primary installers of this product.
This sealant is suited for horizontal joint applications in driveways, garages, sidewalks, balconies, pavements, terraces, warehouses, factories, plazas, and civil structures. It can be applied to green and damp concrete surfaces, expanding the range of installation windows on active job sites. Joint depth must not exceed 1/2 inch; a foam backer rod should be used to control depth in deeper joints. The sandstone color provides a neutral finish compatible with standard concrete tones.
Designed for use on horizontal expansion joints in concrete, masonry, and cementitious substrates including driveways, garages, sidewalks, balconies, pavements, terraces, warehouses, factories, plazas, and civil structures.
Joint depth must not exceed 1/2 inch; use a foam backer rod to control depth in joints exceeding this dimension before applying sealant. Clean fresh adhesive immediately with soap and water; remove cured adhesive with paint thinner or another approved solvent. Shut off or isolate any water flow through the joint area before application. Follow all applicable local building codes and manufacturer surface-preparation requirements for proper adhesion.
