The SIGNAMAX INC. FPC6-LC09-02 is a field-installable, pre-polished LC single-mode UPC fiber optic connector sold in a six-pack. LC connectors use a 1.25 mm ferrule with a push-pull latch mechanism, making them a standard choice in high-density fiber patch panels, rack-mounted enclosures, and structured cabling installations. The UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) polish delivers low back-reflection and consistent insertion loss, which is critical for single-mode transmission runs. The blue housing color follows the industry convention for single-mode UPC connectors, providing quick visual identification during termination and documentation.
These connectors are suited for single-mode fiber installations in commercial, enterprise, and data center environments. Typical applications include horizontal and backbone cabling runs, fiber distribution hubs, and splice-free field terminations where a pre-polished design eliminates the need for epoxy and polishing equipment on-site. Network technicians, low-voltage contractors, and fiber installers use these connectors when performing quick, clean terminations in structured cabling projects or equipment room builds.
Designed as a field-installable LC single-mode UPC replacement or new-termination connector compatible with standard LC-interface patch panels, couplers, and transceivers used in single-mode fiber cabling systems.
Installation is performed by trained low-voltage or fiber optic technicians following TIA-568 and applicable structured cabling standards. Before terminating, strip and clean the fiber end per the connector manufacturer instructions and verify the fiber count and single-mode cable type match connector specifications. Pre-polished connectors require a mechanical splice action to seat the fiber; follow the tool and stripping gauge requirements specified in the product data sheet. Inspect the ferrule end-face with a fiber inspection scope after termination and verify insertion loss with an optical loss test set before patching into live equipment.
