The SIGNAMAX INC. C6-115GY-14FB is a Category 6 (Cat6) patch cord finished in gray, measuring 14 feet in length. Patch cords of this type provide structured copper cabling connections between network switches, patch panels, and end devices in both commercial and residential data installations. Cat6 cabling supports network throughput up to 10 Gigabits per second over shorter runs and is backward compatible with Cat5e infrastructure. This cord is sold individually and is a standard component in IT, low-voltage, and data communications work.
The C6-115GY-14FB is suited for horizontal and vertical cable runs inside communications rooms, data centers, server racks, and workstation drops. At 14 feet, it provides enough slack for rack-mount equipment connections, wall-outlet-to-device runs, and patch panel terminations without excessive bundling. The gray jacket color is commonly used for data network ports, making it easy to visually differentiate network segments in high-density installations.
Designed as a standard Cat6 patch cord compatible with Cat6 and Cat5e keystone jacks, patch panels, and RJ-45 ports in structured cabling systems.
Low-voltage installers and network technicians typically install Cat6 patch cords as part of structured cabling work governed by ANSI/TIA-568 standards. Power down or log off active network equipment before swapping patch cords in live environments to avoid unintended network interruptions. Do not bend the cord below its minimum bend radius, and avoid routing alongside high-voltage conductors without adequate separation per applicable codes. Inspect RJ-45 connectors for proper seating at both ends after installation.
