The Signamax 10/100BaseT/TX to 100 Base FX Media Converter, model 065-1100, supports Link Fault Signaling. In case of failure, the switch can reroute to a backup path if it is equipped with Spanning Tree Algorithm. This function enhances the operation of managed switches and contributes to fail-safe network designs.

These media converters can extend singlemode fiber distances over 46 miles with specific configurations. The integrated 10/100 switch allows connections at 100 Mbps to either a 10BaseT or a 100BaseTX network while ensuring compliance with the 100BaseFX standard.
