The SIGMA 811047810 is a malleable iron galvanized reducing tee fitting designed for threaded pipe assemblies in low-pressure fluid and gas distribution systems. Conforming to the FIG 3105R pattern, it connects a 1-1/2 inch run with a 3/4 inch branch outlet, all three ports terminating in female NPT (FNPT) threads. Rated at 150 lb, this fitting handles standard working pressures found in commercial and industrial plumbing, HVAC hydronic lines, fire protection branch lines, and steam service applications. The hot-dip galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in exposed or damp environments. Plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this class of fitting.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems where a main 1-1/2 inch threaded line requires a reduced 3/4 inch branch takeoff. Typical applications include hydronic heating distribution headers, compressed air supply lines, water service mains, and general industrial process piping. The FNPT end style accepts standard NPT male-threaded pipe and nipples, making it compatible with common black iron and galvanized steel pipe stock available through trade supply channels.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting replacement for 150 lb malleable iron galvanized pipe assemblies using 1-1/2 inch nominal run pipe and 3/4 inch nominal branch pipe with NPT threads.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten to a snug fit using pipe wrenches without over-torquing the malleable iron body. Do not use this fitting beyond its rated pressure class or with fluids incompatible with galvanized iron.
