The SIGMA 811047612 is a malleable iron reducing tee fitting manufactured to FIG 3105R standards. It transitions flow from a 1-1/2 inch run to 1 inch branch and outlet connections, using female national pipe taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports. Rated at 150 lb pressure class and finished with a galvanized coating for corrosion resistance, this fitting is built for threaded piping systems in mechanical, plumbing, and light industrial applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during new construction and retrofit work where pipe size reductions are required in threaded iron pipe assemblies.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and commercial piping systems where a 1-1/2 inch main line must branch or reduce to 1 inch. Common applications include water distribution, hydronic heating supply and return lines, compressed air, and general service piping. The FNPT end style allows direct threading onto standard NPT pipe and fittings without adapters. The galvanized finish extends service life in environments with moderate moisture exposure.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded replacement fitting for 150 lb malleable iron pipe systems using standard NPT threaded connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local mechanical codes. Shut off and depressurize the piping system fully before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as malleable iron fittings can crack under excessive torque.
