The SIGMA 811046812 is a FIG 3105R malleable iron reducing tee designed for threaded pipe assemblies in commercial and industrial piping systems. It features female national pipe thread (FNPT) connections on all three outlets and carries a 150 lb pressure rating. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for use in wet or exposed environments. This fitting handles run and branch size reductions in a single body, eliminating the need for additional reducing bushings. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on water, steam, or gas distribution lines where reducing tee geometry is required.
The 811046812 is suited for low-pressure threaded piping systems in commercial mechanical rooms, industrial facilities, and residential plumbing rough-in work. The 1-1/2 inch run inlet, 1-1/4 inch run outlet, and 3/4 inch branch outlet make it a common choice where a main line steps down while simultaneously feeding a smaller branch. Malleable iron construction handles the mechanical stress of threaded assembly better than cast iron, and the galvanized coating is standard for above-ground and exposed installations.
Designed as a standard 150 lb FNPT malleable iron reducing tee fitting compatible with threaded pipe systems using 1-1/2 inch, 1-1/4 inch, and 3/4 inch nominal iron pipe size (IPS) threaded connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any threaded connections. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly, and tighten to proper engagement without over-torquing malleable iron threads. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.3 standards for malleable iron threaded fittings.
