The SIGMA 811046218 is a FIG 3105R malleable iron galvanized reducing tee designed for threaded pipe assemblies in commercial and industrial piping systems. This fitting connects three sections of pipe at a tee junction while reducing the branch outlet from 1-1/2 inches to 1-1/4 inches. The run measures 1-1/2 inches on both ends, with a 1-1/4-inch branch outlet. Rated at 150 lb, it uses Female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for wet or exposed service environments. Plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting in threaded iron pipe systems.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic piping, compressed air lines, and general industrial pipe distribution where a threaded branch takeoff at a reduced size is required. The 150 lb pressure rating makes it appropriate for low-to-medium pressure service. It is manufactured from malleable iron with a hot-dip galvanized coating, consistent with standard pipe fitting practice for black and galvanized iron piping systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 150 lb malleable iron threaded pipe systems using FNPT connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the pipe system completely before disassembling or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded joints, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive torque.
