The SIGMA 811045806 is a FIG 3105R malleable iron reducing tee designed for threaded pipe systems operating at 150 lb pressure class. The fitting features female NPT (FNPT) threads on all three ports with a run size of 1-1/2 inches by 1-1/2 inches and a branch outlet of 3/4 inch. A hot-dip galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in wet or exposed environments. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in water supply, compressed air, and general-purpose piping systems where a branch takeoff of a smaller diameter is required.
This reducing tee is suited for commercial and light industrial piping applications including hydronic systems, water distribution, and compressed air lines. The FNPT end style allows direct makeup with standard NPT threaded pipe using pipe dope or PTFE tape. The galvanized coating makes it appropriate for outdoor, underground-adjacent, or other corrosive-environment installations where plain black iron fittings would not be specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 150 lb class threaded malleable iron piping systems using 1-1/2 inch run pipe with a 3/4 inch branch takeoff.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before disassembling any threaded connections. Apply pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before makeup. Do not over-torque the fitting, as malleable iron can crack under excessive stress from pipe wrenches.
