The SIGMA 811045418 is a malleable iron galvanized reducing tee fitting designed for threaded pipe assemblies in commercial and industrial piping systems. Manufactured to FIG 3105R specifications, this fitting connects three sections of pipe at a tee junction while reducing the branch outlet from 1-1/2 inches to 1-1/4 inches nominal. The run connections measure 1-1/2 inches nominal on both ends. It carries a 150 lb pressure rating and features female national pipe taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for installations in moderate-exposure environments such as mechanical rooms, gas distribution headers, and water supply lines.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical installations where a branch line requires a size transition off a main run. Typical applications include plumbing supply lines, compressed air distribution, hydronic heating headers, and low-pressure gas piping where a threaded reducing branch connection is needed. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in new construction and retrofit work following applicable IPC and IFGC requirements for threaded fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting replacement compatible with standard 150 lb malleable iron threaded piping systems using NPT-threaded pipe and fittings per ASME B16.3 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly and tighten to standard pipe-thread engagement using a pipe wrench. Do not over-torque, as malleable iron fittings can crack if over-stressed.
