The SIGMA 811044411 is a FIG 3105R malleable iron galvanized reducing tee designed for threaded pipe assemblies in low-pressure piping systems. It features female national pipe taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports and is pressure-rated at 150 lb, making it suitable for steam, water, gas, and air service at working pressures consistent with Class 150 fittings. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in exposed or moderately harsh environments. This fitting accepts a 1-1/4 inch run on the through-ports and reduces to a 3/4 inch branch outlet, allowing flow to be directed and reduced in a single fitting.
The 811044411 reducing tee is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC piping, fire protection, and industrial utility systems wherever a threaded branch takeoff with a size reduction is required. It is a direct threaded connection fitting, compatible with standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this fitting in gas distribution lines, water supply headers, compressed air networks, and hydronic heating systems that call for a 1-1/4 inch main run with a 3/4 inch branch connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-service fitting compatible with Class 150 FNPT malleable iron pipe fittings in 1-1/4 inch by 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch configurations per standard NPT threading.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code or International Fuel Gas Code. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before making up the joint; do not apply sealant to the first two threads. Use a pipe wrench and backup wrench to prevent stress on adjacent piping when tightening.
