The SIGMA 811043819 is a FIG 3105R reducing tee fitting designed for threaded pipe assemblies in plumbing, mechanical, and industrial piping systems. Manufactured from malleable iron with a galvanized finish, this fitting handles a 150 lb pressure class and connects three pipe runs in a reducing configuration. The nominal size is 1-1/4 x 1 x 1/2 inches, with female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threads on all three ends. The galvanized coating provides corrosion resistance in wet or exposed service conditions. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in low-pressure water, air, and gas distribution lines where a branch takeoff at a reduced size is required.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial piping where a main run steps down or branches off to a smaller diameter line. Typical applications include water distribution headers, compressed air systems, and gas supply rough-in work. The FNPT thread pattern is the standard in North American threaded pipe systems, making this fitting compatible with standard Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 threaded pipe of the corresponding nominal sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-service reducing tee for threaded malleable iron piping systems rated at 150 lb class, compatible with nominal 1-1/4 inch, 1 inch, and 1/2 inch FNPT threaded pipe.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any threaded connections. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly — do not apply sealant to female threads. Hand-tighten first, then use a pipe wrench to achieve a proper pressure-tight connection without over-torquing the fitting body.
