The SIGMA 811042811 is a FIG 3105R malleable iron galvanized reducing tee designed for low-pressure threaded pipe systems. It features female national pipe taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports and carries a 150 lb pressure class rating. The run ports are sized at 1-1/4 inches nominal with a reducing branch outlet at 1/2 inch nominal, making it suited for branching off a main line to a smaller lateral. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in water distribution, gas distribution, and general industrial piping systems where a code-rated, corrosion-resistant threaded connection is required.
This reducing tee is intended for use in residential and light commercial threaded pipe assemblies. The galvanized finish provides added corrosion resistance in wet or exposed environments, including water supply lines, sprinkler risers, and general mechanical room piping. The 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 x 1/2 inch nominal configuration is a common size for branch takeoffs where the main line size must be maintained while supplying a smaller fixture or appliance connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 150 lb class malleable iron threaded piping systems using NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements where gas service applies. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembly or installation. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly. Do not over-torque threaded joints in malleable iron fittings, as this can crack the fitting body.
