The SIGMA 811042407 is a malleable iron galvanized reducing tee fitting designed for threaded pipe assemblies in commercial and industrial piping systems. Manufactured to FIG 3105R specifications, this fitting connects two run pipes at 1-1/4 inch nominal diameter with a reduced 1 inch nominal branch outlet. Female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports allow secure, leak-resistant connections to standard tapered male-threaded pipe. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for general-purpose applications. Rated at 150 lb, this tee is suited for moderate-pressure service in water, gas, and air distribution systems where a branch line reduction is required.
This reducing tee is used in residential and commercial plumbing, mechanical rooms, fire protection, and industrial piping where a main run must branch off at a smaller pipe size. It is appropriate for new installations and retrofit work in systems carrying water, compressed air, or other compatible media at pressures within the 150 lb class rating. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of threaded fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded replacement fitting for 150 lb class malleable iron galvanized piping systems using standard NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing any existing fittings or making new connections. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded joints, as malleable iron fittings can crack under excessive torque.
