The SIGMA 811039809 is a malleable iron galvanized reducing tee fitting rated at 150 lb, designed for threaded pipe assemblies in plumbing, HVAC, and general industrial piping systems. Built to FIG 3105R dimensions, this tee connects a 1-inch run on both the inlet and outlet with a 3/4-inch branch outlet, all in female NPT (FNPT) thread configuration. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suited for water supply, compressed air, and low-pressure steam applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians rely on this fitting for reliable, leak-free reductions within threaded iron pipe systems.
This reducing tee is used in residential and light commercial piping installations where a branch line steps down from a 1-inch main to a 3/4-inch takeoff. Typical applications include water distribution headers, gas supply manifolds, compressed air lines, and HVAC hydronic systems. The FNPT end style accepts standard NPT male-threaded pipe or nipples on all three ports, making assembly straightforward with conventional pipe wrenches and thread sealant.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for threaded malleable iron pipe systems using 1-inch and 3/4-inch NPT-threaded pipe or nipples rated at 150 lb class.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements where gas service is involved. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembling existing fittings or threading new connections. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male NPT threads before assembly, and tighten with a pipe wrench to achieve a leak-free joint. Do not overtighten, as malleable iron threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
