The SIGMA 811023407 is a FIG 3102 45-degree malleable iron pipe elbow designed for low-pressure piping systems in commercial and industrial plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical applications. Rated at 150 lb, this fitting features female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threaded ends on both sides and a hot-dip galvanized finish for corrosion resistance. The 45-degree angle allows for directional changes in pipe runs where a gradual offset is required. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working with standard threaded black or galvanized pipe assemblies.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial gas, water, and air piping systems where a 45-degree change in direction is needed in a 1/2-inch nominal pipe line. The FNPT end style allows direct connection to standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings. The galvanized coating makes it appropriate for exposed or mildly corrosive environments. Typical applications include mechanical rooms, boiler piping, compressed air lines, and general plumbing rough-in work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for 1/2 inch nominal NPT threaded pipe systems using 150 lb malleable iron fittings.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Shut off all pressure to the line and verify the system is fully depressurized before disassembling or installing any threaded fittings. Apply appropriate pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before making up the joint. Do not over-tighten, as malleable iron fittings can crack under excessive torque.
