The SIGMA 811016211 is a FIG 3103 standard street elbow designed for threaded pipe systems in plumbing, mechanical, and gas distribution applications. This fitting connects male NPT to female NPT ends in a 90-degree configuration, allowing direction changes in tight spaces without the need for a separate coupling. Rated at 150 lb, the fitting is constructed from malleable iron with a galvanized finish that provides corrosion resistance in exposed or mildly corrosive environments. It carries a 1/2 inch nominal pipe size and is suitable for steam, water, gas, and air service within its pressure rating.
This street elbow is commonly installed in residential and light commercial piping systems where a compact directional change is required. Its MNPT x FNPT configuration makes it useful when threading directly into a valve, fitting, or equipment port on one end while accepting a male-threaded pipe or fitting on the other. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians working on gas or hydronic systems will find this fitting appropriate for standard iron pipe assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 1/2 inch NPT threaded iron pipe systems in plumbing, HVAC, and gas distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes, the International Plumbing Code, or the International Fuel Gas Code as applicable. Shut off and depressurize the pipe system before threading or unthreading any fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten, as malleable iron fittings can crack under excessive torque.
