The SIGMA 811001809 is a FIG 3101 90-degree pipe elbow rated at 150 lb, designed to redirect piping flow at a right angle in threaded piping systems. Built from galvanized malleable iron, this fitting delivers the ductility and corrosion resistance required in water, air, and general-purpose piping installations. At 2 inches nominal size with female NPT (FNPT) threads on both ends, it connects directly to standard threaded pipe without adapters. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in both new construction and retrofit work where a durable, code-familiar threaded elbow is required.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, compressed air distribution, fire protection support lines, and general industrial piping where 150 lb class malleable iron fittings are specified. The galvanized finish makes it appropriate for exposed or mildly corrosive environments. It is commonly used in water supply, hydronic heating, and compressed air systems that rely on threaded pipe assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2 inch nominal threaded piping systems using 150 lb class malleable iron fittings with NPT threads.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing codes. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly, and tighten to hand-tight plus the number of turns recommended by the sealant manufacturer. Do not over-torque malleable iron fittings, as the material is ductile but not designed for excessive mechanical force.
