The SIGMA 811001205 is a FIG 3101 90-degree malleable iron pipe elbow rated for 150 lb service. This fitting redirects pipe runs at a right angle and connects using female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threads on both ends. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for use in wet or exposed environments. It carries a 1-inch nominal pipe size and is built to standard malleable iron fitting dimensions. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors use this elbow in water, air, and steam distribution systems where a reliable threaded right-angle turn is required.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial piping applications including domestic water supply, compressed air lines, and low-pressure steam systems. The galvanized coating makes it a practical choice for installations subject to moisture or mild corrosive conditions. It threads directly onto standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings, making it straightforward to integrate into new construction or retrofit work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 1-inch NPT threaded piping systems in plumbing and mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing fittings or threading new connections. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus the appropriate number of turns using a pipe wrench. Do not over-tighten, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive torque.
