The SIGMA 810047407 is a FIG 1105R malleable iron reducing tee designed for threaded pipe assemblies in low-pressure piping systems. It features female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threads on all three outlets and is rated at 150 lb working pressure. The black oxide finish provides basic surface protection during storage and installation. This fitting is used by licensed plumbers and pipefitters when reducing between pipe sizes within a run, allowing a branch connection at a smaller diameter than the main line. The three-way configuration covers a 1-1/2 inch run inlet, a 1 inch run outlet, and a 1-1/4 inch branch outlet.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial piping applications including water supply, hydronic heating distribution lines, and general-purpose black iron gas piping where local codes permit. The FNPT thread pattern is compatible with standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings. The malleable iron construction handles moderate mechanical stress and vibration better than cast iron, making it appropriate for systems where some flex or movement may occur at the joint.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting for threaded malleable iron piping systems using standard NPT connections at 1-1/2 inch, 1 inch, and 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe sizes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing and mechanical codes, including IPC and IFGC requirements where gas service is involved. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembling or threading new fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive torque.
