The SIGMA 810045807 is a FIG 1105R malleable iron reducing tee designed for threaded pipe systems operating at up to 150 lb pressure ratings. The fitting connects a 1-1/2 inch run on both ends to a reduced 3/4 inch branch outlet, all with female NPT (FNPT) threads. A black oxide finish provides baseline corrosion resistance for indoor and general-purpose applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting where a branch takeoff at a smaller diameter is required without transitioning to a separate reducing bushing or coupling. The malleable iron body handles the mechanical stress of threaded assembly and typical system pressures in low-pressure piping configurations.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems including gas distribution, steam, compressed air, and water service lines where threaded malleable iron fittings are specified. The FNPT thread pattern on all three outlets allows direct connection to standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings. It is commonly used in branch line configurations where a main run must continue at full size while a smaller branch feeds a secondary zone, appliance, or instrument tap.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 150 lb malleable iron threaded pipe systems using standard NPT pipe and fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any existing fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound rated for the service fluid to all male threads before assembly. Do not over-torque threaded connections, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive force.
