The SIGMA 810001412 is a FIG 3101 malleable iron pipe elbow rated at 150 lb for use in threaded piping systems. This 90-degree elbow features female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threads on both ends and a 1-1/4 inch nominal size, making it a standard fitting for directional changes in low-pressure piping runs. The black finish is a standard mill coating for malleable iron fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in gas distribution, steam, and general-purpose piping applications where a durable threaded connection is required.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems operating within 150 lb class pressure ratings. Typical applications include natural gas distribution lines, steam and condensate systems, and water supply piping where FNPT threaded connections are specified. The 1-1/4 inch nominal size fits standard Schedule 40 pipe of the same nominal diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting compatible with standard 1-1/4 inch nominal Schedule 40 threaded pipe systems using FNPT connections rated at 150 lb class.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off all gas or fluid supply and depressurize the line completely before removing any existing fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive torque.
