The SIGMA 33RT1012010006C is a malleable iron reducing tee designed for threaded pipe assemblies in gas, water, and general-purpose piping systems. This black-finish fitting accepts female national pipe taper (FNPT) connections on all three ports and is rated for 150 lb service. The run ports measure 1-1/4 inches and 1 inch nominal, with a 3/4 inch nominal branch outlet, allowing a single fitting to transition flow from a larger main line to a smaller branch line. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting during rough-in and distribution work where reducing branch connections are required.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial piping applications including natural gas distribution, steam, air, water, and oil systems where threaded malleable iron fittings meet the design specification. The FNPT thread pattern on all ports allows it to mate with standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings throughout the assembly. It is a common component in black iron gas piping systems installed per IFGC requirements and in steam and hydronic heating distribution piping.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded replacement fitting for use with standard NPT black iron or malleable iron pipe systems in residential and commercial mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IFGC, IPC, or local mechanical codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended service medium to all male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as malleable iron fittings can crack under excessive torque.
