The SIEMON COMPANY ZS-PNL-24E is a shielded empty patch panel chassis designed for use with ZMAX modular jacks in structured cabling installations. The panel ships without keystone inserts, allowing technicians to populate it with the appropriate ZMAX shielded modules to match the specific cable plant and performance category required. With 24 open ports, this chassis supports high-density copper patching in equipment rooms, server rooms, and telecommunications closets. Licensed low-voltage technicians and data cabling contractors are the primary installers. The empty chassis design provides flexibility for phased deployments or retrofit projects where port count and shielding requirements vary by zone.
This panel is suited for CAT6 and CAT6A shielded structured cabling systems in both commercial and enterprise environments. It is intended for rack or cabinet mounting in 19-inch EIA-standard enclosures. The empty format makes it well-suited for installations where the end user specifies shielded cabling to meet EMI mitigation requirements or local codes. ZMAX-series modules are inserted and terminated in the field to complete the assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style empty chassis for use with SIEMON COMPANY ZMAX shielded modular jacks in 19-inch rack-mount structured cabling applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or data cabling technician in accordance with applicable TIA-568 and local building codes. Power down or de-energize any active equipment in the rack before mounting the panel. Modules are field-terminated and snapped into the chassis ports after panel mounting is complete. Do not force incompatible keystone modules into ZMAX chassis ports, as this may damage the shielding continuity clips.
