The SHURTAPE 203796 is a permanent double-sided film tape designed for secure, one-time bonding applications in trade and light commercial settings. At 3.5 mil thick with an acrylic adhesive system on both sides, it delivers consistent holding power across a range of smooth and semi-smooth substrates. The tape comes in continuous rolls measuring 1 7/8 inches wide and 54 5/8 yards long, with a pull-away liner that keeps the second adhesive face protected until installation. Facility maintenance technicians, sign installers, and trade contractors typically handle this product for mounting and bonding tasks.
This tape is suited for permanent bonding of materials in residential and light commercial environments. Common applications include mounting signs, nameplates, and point-of-purchase displays to walls, panels, or equipment surfaces. The acrylic adhesive provides reliable adhesion without requiring mechanical fasteners, making it a practical choice for clean, finished surfaces where drilling or screwing is not desirable.
Designed as a permanent double-sided mounting tape for smooth and semi-smooth substrates including metal, plastic, and painted surfaces in light-duty sign and display installation applications.
Clean and dry the bonding surface thoroughly before applying tape to ensure full adhesive contact. Position the tape carefully before pressing into place, as the permanent acrylic adhesive bonds on contact and repositioning is not practical. Apply firm, even pressure along the full tape length to activate adhesion. Once the liner is removed and the tape is bonded, removal may damage the substrate or the mounted item.
