The SHOWA S8115M-16 is a medium-size, cut-resistant sleeve rated at ANSI cut level A4 and constructed from HPPE-reinforced knit fabric at 15 gauge. At 16 inches in length, the sleeve covers the forearm and extends toward the upper arm, providing extended protection for workers operating in environments with sharp edges, sheet metal, glass, or abrasive materials. It is lightweight and breathable, designed to maintain dexterity and comfort during extended wear. The S8115M-16 is a standard piece of PPE deployed by HVAC techs, sheet metal workers, plumbers, electricians, and general tradespeople handling components with cut hazards.
This sleeve is suited for residential and commercial trade applications where arm protection is required but a full-coverage glove alone is insufficient. Typical install and service scenarios include sheet metal duct work, equipment changeouts, pipe handling, and panel work where forearm exposure is a risk. The 16-inch length addresses upper-arm exposure that shorter sleeves leave unprotected. The gray colorway is standard for general shop and field use.
Designed as a general-purpose cut-resistant sleeve for use across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sheet metal trades wherever ANSI A4-rated arm protection is required.
Pull the sleeve over the forearm before beginning work involving sharp sheet metal edges, duct components, pipe cut ends, or panel enclosures. Inspect the sleeve for tears or worn areas before each use — compromised gauge fabric reduces cut resistance. PPE selection and use should comply with applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 personal protective equipment standards for the work environment.
