The SHOWA 892-11 is a heavy-duty chemical and acid resistant glove constructed with a fluoroelastomer (Viton) outer layer over a Butyl rubber base. This dual-layer construction provides superior hand and forearm protection against highly corrosive acids and a broad range of aggressive chemical compounds. At 12 mil thickness with a rolled cuff style, the glove balances dexterity with robust barrier performance. It is sized at 2X-Large and carries a black finish. Sold as a pair, it is suited for industrial, laboratory, and hazmat service work where direct contact with corrosive substances is a daily exposure risk.
This glove is designed for applications involving aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, including Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene, as well as highly corrosive acids. Typical installation scenarios include chemical processing facilities, industrial maintenance, laboratory environments, and hazardous material handling operations. The fluoroelastomer outer layer makes it a strong fit for any trade or industrial worker who routinely contacts solvents, fuels, or aggressive acid concentrations that would degrade standard nitrile or latex gloves.
Designed for use in industrial, laboratory, and chemical handling environments where resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and corrosive acids is required.
Inspect gloves for pinholes, tears, or degradation before each use, particularly after exposure to aggressive chemicals. Rinse exterior surfaces thoroughly with clean water after chemical contact and before removal to reduce cross-contamination risk. Dispose of gloves in accordance with applicable local regulations for chemically contaminated PPE. This product does not require tool-based installation and should be donned and doffed following your facility or jobsite PPE protocol.
