The SHOWA 892-08 is a chemical and acid resistant glove engineered for hand and forearm protection in environments where exposure to highly corrosive acids and aggressive solvents is a routine hazard. Constructed with a fluoroelastomer (Viton) outer layer bonded over a Butyl rubber substrate, the 892-08 delivers a dual-material barrier at 12 mil thickness. The rolled cuff style supports a secure, comfortable fit during extended wear. This glove is intended for use by chemical handlers, industrial maintenance technicians, laboratory personnel, and hazmat-trained workers who require dependable protection against corrosive chemical contact.
The 892-08 is suited for applications involving aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons including Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene, as well as highly corrosive acids. The Medium sizing and rolled cuff make it a practical choice for a wide range of hand sizes in production, maintenance, and field service settings where chemical splash and immersion risk is present. Sold as a pair.
Designed as a chemical-resistant hand protection solution for industrial, laboratory, and maintenance environments where fluoroelastomer or Butyl-rated gloves are specified for acid and hydrocarbon handling tasks.
Inspect gloves for cuts, pinholes, or degradation before each use. Donning should follow the site chemical hygiene plan and applicable OSHA PPE requirements. After use in hazardous chemical environments, decontaminate gloves per site protocol before removal to prevent skin contact with absorbed chemicals. Damaged or chemically compromised gloves should be removed from service immediately.
