The SHOWA 891-10 is a chemical and acid resistant glove engineered for hand and forearm protection in environments where highly corrosive acids and aggressive hydrocarbons are present. Constructed with a fluoroelastomer (Viton) outer coating bonded over a Butyl rubber substrate, this glove delivers layered chemical defense at 28 mil thickness. The rolled cuff style adds a secure seal at the wrist and forearm. Sized for X-Large hands, it is sold as a pair and is suited for industrial maintenance, chemical processing, laboratory, and hazmat service professionals who handle aggressive chemical compounds regularly.
This glove is designed for tasks involving aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons including Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene, as well as highly corrosive acid exposure. The fluoroelastomer outer layer provides resistance where standard nitrile or latex gloves would degrade rapidly. Typical applications include chemical plant maintenance, refinery operations, waste remediation, and industrial cleaning operations where direct contact with corrosive or solvent-based materials is routine.
Designed as a chemical-resistant hand protection solution for industrial, laboratory, and hazmat applications requiring defense against corrosive acids and hydrocarbon solvents.
Inspect gloves for pinholes, cracks, or delamination before each use by inflating or visual inspection. Don gloves before any contact with chemical agents and ensure the rolled cuff is seated properly over protective sleeves or suit cuffs. Follow applicable OSHA PPE standards and your site-specific chemical hygiene plan when selecting and using chemical-resistant gloves. Dispose of contaminated gloves in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations.
