The SHOWA 890-11 is a chemical and acid resistant glove engineered for professionals who handle highly corrosive substances in demanding industrial environments. Constructed with a fluoroelastomer (Viton) outer layer bonded over a butyl rubber substrate, this glove delivers superior protection for the hand and forearm. At 28 mil thickness, it provides a durable barrier while maintaining enough dexterity for controlled handling tasks. The rolled cuff design adds a secondary layer of splash protection at the wrist and forearm. Available in 2X-Large, it is well suited for chemical plant operators, hazmat technicians, and laboratory workers who require dependable hand protection against aggressive chemical exposure.
The 890-11 is designed for use in environments where workers are exposed to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, including Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene, as well as highly corrosive acids. Typical applications include chemical processing, industrial cleaning, solvent handling, and hazardous material transfers in both commercial and industrial settings. The fluoroelastomer coating makes this glove particularly effective where standard rubber or nitrile gloves would break down rapidly under chemical attack. It is sold as a pair and is intended for single-user professional use.
Designed as an OEM-style chemical protection glove suitable for use in industrial chemical handling, hazmat response, and laboratory applications where fluoroelastomer or butyl rubber chemical resistance is specified.
Chemical resistant gloves should be inspected for cuts, pinholes, or degradation before each use. Inspect the glove interior and exterior and discard any pair showing visible damage or stiffness. Follow site-specific PPE protocols and applicable OSHA standards when selecting and donning chemical protective gloves. Doff contaminated gloves using a peel-and-roll technique to avoid skin contact with the outer surface.
